Our import department files all customs entries electronically through the Automated Broker Interface (ABI) in order to receive immediate electronic releases from both Customs and the FDA. Automated Clearing House technology allows us to make electronic duty payments to U.S. Customs and positions us for remote entry filing. Our export department was recently enhanced by software and hardware that enables the electronic submission of your export data to the Automated Export System (AES).

The responsibilities of the importer have changed drastically since the adoption of the Customs Modernization Act. The importer is now legally responsible for proving reasonable care and informed compliance in the classification, valuation, admissibility and labeling of their products.

Failure to comply with the Customs Modernization Act can expose importers to penalties of up to $100,000.00 per transaction.
